Once again, the original Christkind from Nuremberg will open the Christmas Village in Baltimore with her solemn prologue! She will be accompanied by city officials, a local choir and musicians from the Baltimore area to kick off the 2017 Holiday Season on Saturday, November 25th. Meet her and her pals Santa and Gingy around the Inner Harbor after the Opening Ceremony and take a picture with them.
Meeting the Christkind is not the only thing we have planned for the weekend: we'll bring back the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Sunday, November 26th! Watch our 21-foot-tall Christmas tree get illuminated and decorated. Children representing 14 Baltimore district schools will participate by individually decorating an ornament to be added to the tree. Live performers and bands will be creating just the right atmosphere - sounds fun, huh?
