Christmas Village is back!

Logo Christmas Village

Guess who’s back for their fourth season at the Inner Harbor? That’s right, Christmas Village in Baltimore is returning to its waterfront spot on Light Street! We are busy at work setting up and putting final touches on everything here at Christmas Village in Baltimore. With the Opening Weekend fast approaching, we want to make sure that everything is perfect for your visit! The market opens on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 24th and closes on Christmas Eve, Saturday, December 24th. Be sure to come out and wander through the market while it’s open for the season!

Have you checked out our new website or logo yet? We got a facelift! We’ve updated our website so that our guests can find out more about what’s going on at Christmas Village in Baltimore more easily. Along with our new and improved website, we also updated our logo with a Christmassy font. We still have the image of the market, which might give you an idea of what the market will look like when you come to visit during Opening Weekend!

Meet the Christkind

Christkind and Santa

We will be celebrating our very special Opening Ceremony on Saturday, November 26th. Be sure to stick around until about 2:30 when the Christkind will arrive at the Inner Harbor to help us open the market in traditional fashion. She traveled all the way from Nuremberg, Germany just to be with us. Accompanied by official Baltimore City representatives and local choirs and musicians, the Christkind will deliver her traditional prologue! Then, she will be walking around the market to hand out sweets to the young ones. At 4:30, the Christkind and the City Representatives will be lighting our beautiful 21-foot Christmas tree. Curious about how it might look? Check out some pictures from last year! It’s something you definitely do not want to miss!

This year, we have a lot of new additions to Christmas Village in Baltimore. But, there is one that we are incredibly excited about! Santa Claus has moved his house inside of our heated tent and will be at the market every day of the week to lend an ear to all of your family’s Christmas wishes. If you don’t have any two-legged kids to bring along with you, Santa is happy to meet and take pictures with your furry ones as the market is dog-friendly!
