Bring out your Lederhosen and Dirndls, as we once again celebrate our beloved German American Weekend on December 7th and 8th! Come and see what the German American Clubs of the area have in stock for you: Schuhplattler dances, German games and much more!
Are you tough enough to be a Bierkrug-Stemmen champ? Prove it during our first annual German Games in the heated event tent on Sunday December 8th.
Make sure to stop by for a delicious German Bratwurst with home made Sauerkraut, a Schnitzel with Potato Salad, a Leberkäse (German meatloaf) or a Soft Pretzel. Enjoy it with either a refreshing Hofbräu Beer from Munich or a hot Glühwein (mulled wine)!

Lantern Parade with St. Nicholas, Saturday, December 7th, 2019
Join us at 4:30pm at Christmas Village for a family fun event where children can build Christmas lanterns from a traditional kit, including the lantern, a small light, and a stick to carry the lantern. While the kids will put together their lanterns, the Pastor of the Zion Church in Baltimore will tell the story of the German lantern parade.
At 5:00pm, we will begin our lantern parade to the Amphitheater of Baltimore before returning to Christmas Village (Small reminder: dress warm for the walk!). The parade will also be joined by St. Nicholaus!
At 5:30pm when we arrive back at Christmas Village, all of the children will receive a hot chocolate (included within the price of the ticket) while hearing fairytales in front of the stage. There will also be the chance to take pictures with St. Nicholaus.
Tickets can be purchased soon on https://www.certifikid.com!
First Annual German Games on Sunday, December 8th, 2019!
On our German American Weekend, we will have our first German Games on Sunday 8th! We've put our beloved contests into one great game!
Do you think you have what it takes to win our contest? You will compete in three discplines:
Bierkrugstemmen: one of your team members strength will be tested by holding a Bierstein longer than the other participants!
Bratwurst eating: A team member is chosen by you to devour as many brats from our German Grill to beat the other contestants!
Team costume: The best, most creative costume wins! The jury will be the crowd and the louder they cheer, the better are your chances of winning!
To sign up, you can either email email@example.com or visit the information booth on the day of the contest to sign up! You can either sign up on your own, or in teams of two!
Best part of this contest is that it's free to enter. The winner receives a prize and the traveling challenge cup!
If you don't want to enter, but still be a part of it, we encourage audience participation as well! Our participants need some cheering to make this an event full of laughter and beer.
Macht's gut - wir freuen uns auf Euch!
