Parking Deal

We have an exclusive parking deal for our visitors:

Daily rate: $8 parking at SP + Harbor Court Garage at 30 E Lee Street, Baltimore, MD 21202. The garage is located just across the street from Christmas Village and open 24/7!
How it works? Enter the garage and pull a regular parking ticket from the machine at the entrance. Swing by Christmas Village Info Booth (first booth you see when you enter the festival tent) and ask for the parking discount. You will then get a second, so called "follow up ticket" from our staff. When you are back at the pay station, insert the original parking ticket first, followed by the follow up ticket you received at the Info Booth – the discount will be automatically applied.

We recommend to book convenient and affordable parking in advance through SpotHero, the nation’s leading parking reservation app.

Bad Weather/ Snow Days

Since most vendors are located inside the heated festival tent, Christmas Village will be open during almost all weather conditions. Nevertheless, we are not a rain and shine event per se. The event will close early on heavy rain/snow days and will be completely closed when the weather conditions are supposed to be horrible throughout the day. We will keep you updated on the website and our Social Media Channels in case we are planning to close early.

Bike Policy

There is plenty of space around the venue and the Inner Harbor in general to leave your bike. As a courtesy to fellow visitors, we kindly ask you to lock your bike nearby before entering the festival venue, even if you are just strolling the outdoor area. Needless to say, bikes are strictly not permitted inside the festival tent.

Dog Policy

Feel free to bring your dog! Christmas Village allows dogs in the whole outdoor area and large parts of the indoor tent area (exception: dogs are not allowed in the Käthe Wohlfahrt vending area). Please keep in mind, that the tent area gets pretty crowded on weekend days, which might be uncomfortable for your dog.

Smoking Policy

Christmas Village in Baltimore is a smoke free event.

Visit Santa

Once again, Christmas Village will feature the only Santa's Place at the Inner Harbor. Being located at his outdoor booth close to the promenade, he will await kids, adults and furry friends at all times the event is open!

Kid Friendly Events

We've got plenty of things planned for the little ones - check our dedicated "Kid Friendly" section to learn more!

Strollers

Christmas Village is a family friendly event, so make sure to bring the whole family down including the youngest in their strollers! Please note: Strollers are not allowed in the Käthe Wohlfahrt vending tent, so please make sure to park your stroller before entering this German Christmas wonderland!

Lost and Found

Losing something on a family trip is a bummer but it can happen. Make sure to stop by at the Christmas Village Info Booth to check if your wallet or whatever you have lost has been turned in. If not, leave your contact info to make sure we can contact you in case it turns up after you have left. A staff member will assist you in dealing with the police if necessary.

Vice versa, be kind and hand in all things you find because a) it’s the decent thing to do, b) it’s Christmas, and c) you know what they say about karma.

Credit Cards/ ATM

Most vendors – but not all - accept credit cards. If you are running low on cash, an ATM is conveniently located next to the Info Booth inside the main festival tent.

Food Options

Where to start? All German goodies you can think of - we have them: Bratwurst with Sauerkraut, Schnitzel with Potato Salad, Leberkäse (German meatloaf), Berlin style Curry Wurst, fresh roasted almonds and German Gingerbread, original Nuremberg Glühwein (mulled wine), a wide assortment of non-alcoholic cold and hot beverages and a full German Delikatessen store selling German sweets, coffee, honey and so much more.

We have to admit, German cuisine was not made for vegetarians. But no worries, you will not go home hungry! There are plenty of choices available for vegetarians including German Pretzels, sweet or savory crepes and waffles, and such.

And yes, once again we will be serving Hofbräu beer from Munich. Prost!

Check our Food and Beverage vendor section to see the full scope of food which will be offered!

Corporate Parties

Are you still looking for a place to have your companies Holiday Party? Why not having it at Christmas Village - the event has two great seating areas which invite your staff to celebrate the season in style:

The indoor Hofbrau Beer Garden, a traditional German Beer Garden with a May Pole, original beer benches and blue and white decoration, accommodates up to 80 people. The Beer Garden faces the events main stage, entertainment by local bands or singer/songwriters is available upon request.

When the weather is nice, take a seat in our cozy outdoor seating area "The Alm". Modeled after an alpine ski hut, it accommodates up to 60 people. What better way to start the Holiday season then with a hot mulled wine and the perfect view over Baltimore's Inner Harbor?

You can reserve both seating areas for your corporate party or event. We're happy to cater your event with original German food and drinks. Please contact us at schmalz@baltimore-christmas.com for further info!

Christmas Village Mugs

If you have been to Christmas markets in Germany, you might know the Glühwein mugs which change their layout every year. We have them too! Glühwein is served exclusively in those mugs, for non-alcoholic beverages they are optional.

In comparison to Germany, we do not have a mug return system. Once bought, the mug is yours to take home. They are beautiful and a great eye catcher on your shelf!

Performing at the Christmas Village

Are you a singer, choir, band, dancer, dance group or someone who enjoys performing on a stage before a cheering crowd? We are looking for talents who love to perform in front of large audiences!

If you are interested to perform during on of our time slots on our stage inside the heated tent, please send an email to Carolin (stage@baltimore-christmas.com)!
