SEASON GUIDE: CHRISTMAS VILLAGE IN BALTIMORE PRESENTED BY CHASE ANNOUNCES 2025 ADDITIONS, VENDORS, MENUS, ATTRACTIONS AND EVENTS
Baltimore, MD - Christmas Village in Baltimore presented by Chase returns to the Inner Harbor for its 12th season with its largest footprint yet, expanding from West Shore Park (501 Light Street) into Bicentennial Plaza and connecting directly to the Baltimore Visitor Center. Nominated by USA Today as one of the top 10 best holiday markets, Christmas Village continues to grow every year. More than 70 local and international vendors will transform the waterfront into an authentic indoor and outdoor German holiday market filled with gifts, crafts, food and festive cheer. This year promises to be unforgettable with improved visitor flow, additional shopping and dining, and two attractions in the Visitor Center (Santa Claus and the Festival of Trees at Harborside benefiting the Kennedy Krieger Institute. New for 2025, interactive experiences grow with guided wine tastings with Boordy Vineyards, the debut of the Beer Diploma Tastings with local brewery M8 Beer and flower workshops with local Dandelion Flower Stand and a new Ugly Sweater Contest. For the very first time, M8 Beer will also release a limited-edition, Christmas Village–designed canned beer, available at all food and beer booths while supplies last. For the Wish Wall, guests can give back and support a new charity partner this year by donating to Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter. Together with BARCS, Christmas Village in Baltimore will host its first-ever Reindog PAWrade. Food enthusiasts can indulge in a warm mug of imported German Glühwein (hot mulled wine) or hot chocolate out of a new collectible mug, all while savoring a variety of European culinary delights. Collectors can look forward to a new color of the famous boot mug and the debut of two new food booths, adding even more festive cheer to the holiday food experience. New foods will include loaded baked potatoes and grilled kebabs with chicken and beef skewers. Attractions and family-friendly fun will include a new Christmas Village Carousel with a whimsical menagerie of elephants, horses, pandas, zebras and cheetahs, and the brilliantly lit 65-foot Ferris Wheel overlooking the Inner Harbor. The iconic 30-foot Christmas Pyramid is returning to Christmas Village. The market’s “Baltimore” light sign will glow once more with a purple “R” in support of the Ravens. With over 70 vendors spanning across West Shore Park, the waterfront promenade and Bicentennial Plaza, shoppers can explore a wide variety of high-quality local and international vendors. Visitors can find Käthe Wohlfahrt and 24 specialty merchants inside the heated festival tent, alongside Hofbräu and cozy indoor seating for tastings and stage programming. Outdoors across West Shore Park and into Bicentennial Plaza, more than 50 additional small businesses, artisans, and international vendors offer a wide array of gifts and new seasonal eats and sips.

2025 SEASON GUIDE AND GENERAL INFORMATION
1) Hours and Schedule
Christmas Village in Baltimore will be open from Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27, 2025, to Christmas Eve, Wednesday, December 24, 2025.
As per its yearly tradition, the authentic German Christmas market will be open for a Preview Weekend on November 22 and 23, 2025.
Regular operating hours are as follows:
Friday and Saturday: 12:00pm - 9:00pm
Sunday to Thursday: 12:00pm - 8:00pm
In addition, special holiday hours will take place:
Thanksgiving Day: 12:00pm- 5:00pm
Christmas Eve: 12:00pm- 5:00pm
Please note that Christmas Village will be closed on November 24, 25, 26 and December 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16.
2) Admission
The outdoor market area is always open to the public to visit and explore. Admission to the heated festival tent is complimentary on Preview Weekend (November 22 & 23) and all weekdays throughout the season. On remaining weekends, tickets are $5 for adults (18+), while kids under 18 are included at no cost. All purchased tickets act as a season pass, allowing visitors to return anytime throughout the 2025 season without additional charge. For a quieter experience with shorter lines, weekdays remain the ideal time to enjoy the market.

4) What’s New
* Santa will be residing inside the Visitor Center from November 28 through December 23. He is pet friendly and takes reservations. Black Santa will be available on December 3, 10 and 17 from 12:00pm to 3:00pm.
* Christmas Village in Baltimore will take over the Baltimore Visitor Center with the ‘Festival of Trees at Harborside’ fundraiser event benefiting the Kennedy Krieger Institute. Visitors can vote for their favorite tree among 13 festively decorated trees with fun themes.
* Look for the most diverse menu yet - from vegan, veggie and meat lover options. New at Christmas Village (after preview at Wine Village in Baltimore), look for the debut of the grilled kebabs booth that brings sizzling, made-to-order flavor to Christmas Village: herb-garlic chicken, mediterranean ground beef, and spicy ground beef. All served warm on pita with dips like Tzatziki and BBQ. Pair with the Christmas Village debut of Sunset Orange Cola from Germany.
* Christmas Village debuts a new loaded baked potato booth. Visitors can choose between hearty, meaty combos, vegetarian and fully vegan options.
* Sausage lovers can indulge even more in 2025: Christmas Village debuts a custom-made German charcoal Schwenkgrill (swivel grill), imported directly from Germany and designed with a 360-degree service window for faster lines. The signature bite is Bratwurst - choose traditional or smoked - plus an optional German-style pretzel with mustard or cheddar cheese dip for the perfect market snack.
* Strongest beer ever at Christmas Village: M8 Beer’s “The Decimator” (Doppelbock, 8.1% ABV) joins the lineup.
* Exclusive Christmas Village Beer Can: For the first time, visitors can also take home limited-edition Christmas Village in Baltimore Pils beers in exclusively designed cans produced by local brewery M8 Beer, available while supplies last.
* The boot mug with its brand new color is a must-have every season! Visitors can expand their collection with a minty green boot mug. Since these mugs are known to be sold out quickly, guests are encouraged to warm up with their favorite drink and toast to the holiday festivities with their loved ones. Plus, the blue mug and the Beerstein also feature a new design this year.
* Complementing the new look, this season’s signature drink is a Peppermint Spiked Hot Chocolate, a deliciously indulgent treat sure to become a winter favorite among visitors.
* New keepsake wine glasses: Christmas Village wine glasses at the Winter Wunder Bar for hot or cold cocktails (including Hot Aperol or a cold Grinch inspired cocktail).
* Winter Wunder Bar will debut a brand new illuminated ornament arch to cheers under for the season.
* Look for a new hot beverage booth at Bicentennial Plaza, bringing a total to three dedicated hot beverage stations across the entire market.
* Glühbier (Hot Mulled Beer): Christmas Village is thrilled to debut Glühbier (hot mulled beer) - poured for the first time ever in Maryland. Imported from Belgium’s historic Liefmans Brewery, a family-owned brewery established in 1679, Glühbier is a warm amber-colored winter beer, brewed with pure cherries and a distinctive blend of cinnamon, cloves, and star anise.This seasonal specialty is perfect for cozy winter evenings and adds a unique twist to the festival’s beverage lineup.
* The brand new Christmas Village Carousel invites visitors of all ages to hop on for a magical ride in 2025 as riders can enjoy exotic animals and fancy horses.
* Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS) is the new season charity for the Make a Wish Wall at the information booth. Proceeds will support Maryland’s largest companion animal shelter, which cares for thousands of animals annually and provides vital resources to support pet owners in the community.
* Letters to Santa Workshop with The Creative Representation Empire on Family Weekend, Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, Christmas Village will host a Letters to Santa Workshop on the main stage.
* Letters to Santa with exclusive Christmas Village Postcards: Visitors can write or draw their Letters to Santa inside the Baltimore Visitor Center, using limited complimentary Christmas Village postcards designed by The Creative Representation Empire.
* Visitors are invited to participate in the first ever Ugly Sweater Contest on National Ugly Sweater Day on Friday, December 19.
* Reindog PAWrade: Join the first ever "Reindog PAWrade" on Saturday, December 20 at 12:00pm in collaboration with BARCS. In addition, Santa Paws Days will take place on Friday, December 5, from 2:00pm to 5:00pm, offering families and their furry friends the chance to take photos with Santa and visit the BARCS outreach table.
* Christmas Village is teaming up with local Dandelions Flower Stand to present flower workshops! Each Wednesday in December, visitors can get creative and decorate their own festive bouquet or make their own pressed flower ornament.
* Beer Tastings with M8 Beer on Wednesdays: Visitors can sample four different kinds of beers and learn more about M8 Beer's brewing techniques from their own brewer directly! Inspired by the German tradition of "Bierdiploma tastings", every participant will graduate with an official keepsake diploma.
5) Returning Favorite Traditions
* For the second consecutive year, Christmas Village is proud to welcome Chase Bank as its presenting sponsor. * The Christmas Village Tree is back at Rash Field Park, offering a picturesque setting along the waterfront. The Christmas Tree will first be illuminated in the Tree Lighting Ceremony on Preview Weekend, Saturday, November 22 at 4:30pm. Special guests including Christmas Village CEO, Thomas Bauer, Zeke Cohen, Council President of the City of Baltimore, Roger Manalo, Market Director for Chase in Baltimore JPMorgan, Shelonda Stokes, President of Downtown Partnership of Baltimore will give a speech.
* Famous German vendor Käthe Wohlfahrt returns with an array of exquisite glass ornaments, nutcrackers, pyramids and limited-edition decorations.
* The official Christkind from Germany will make a spectacular arrival in Baltimore aboard the vessel Spirit of Baltimore, courtesy of City Cruises, docking at the Inner Harbor on November 29, 2025 at 3:30pm. At 4:00pm in the heated tent, she’ll deliver her traditional prologue before helping light the 30-foot Glühwein Pyramid and the Baltimore sign - with the iconic “R” glowing Ravens purple.
* Get ready to indulge in the vibrant and authentic flavors of Bavaria with an amazing selection of Hofbräu Beers, imported straight from the heart of Germany in Munich! You won’t want to miss out on our lineup of Hofbräu classics, including the refreshing Hofbräu Original, rich Dunkel (dark), flavorful Hefeweizen (wheat), and the iconic Oktoberfest on draft. Join us at Christmas Village and raise a glass to the true essence of German beer - prost!
* Visitors can browse Kurts Delikatessen, a German-style deli shop inside the heated tent for a true taste of Germany. From Milka chocolate bars, Stollen, Mozartkugeln, Marzipan, German gingerbread cookies, German coffee, mustard, baking mixes and more treats - this is a must stop to rediscover German classics and try something new.
* Starting December 4, 2025, Thirsty Thursdays at Christmas Village welcome back visitors for a special wine tasting with Boordy Vineyards.
*German American Weekend returns on December 13 and 14, 2025 celebrating German-American friendship across oceans and cultures. On Saturday, visitors can enjoy the famous Hungarian Dancers “Kék Sólyom folk Ensemble” and the Washingtonia Schuhplattlers performing. Sunday is dedicated to popular Oktoberfest-style games such as Bierstein lifting (‘Bierkrugstemmen’), Bratwurst Eating contest and Brezelschnappen. Shawn Hagen will bring two alphorns: one for himself and one for visitors to try.
* Visitors get to enjoy the breathtaking birds-eye view of the vibrant Christmas lights that illuminate the Harbor once again on the 65-foot-tall Expo Wheel, which is back for the entire season.
* Returning food favorites bring back the beloved flavors of Christmas Village, from freshly melted Swiss Raclette on a crisp baguette and authentic German Schnitzel to crispy Belgian fries and Vegan Bratwurst at Best of Wurst. Sweet treats make their return as well - from festive cupcakes to freshly made mini-donuts by local favorite Deddle’s Mini Donuts - rounding out the ultimate holiday indulgence. Guests can once again sip on traditional Glühwein (hot mulled wine), German beer by Hofbräu, or cozy hot chocolates in all varieties, making every visit to Christmas Village a true taste of the season.
ATTRACTIONS
6 ) Santa
From Friday, November 28 through December 23, Santa can be found at the Baltimore Visitor Center, welcoming families and furry friends for photos and holiday cheer. Visits are available Wednesday - Sunday by walk-in or by reserving a time online via the booking link on the Christmas Village website from 12pm - 5pm. Black Santa will be on site on December 3, 10 and 17 from 12:00pm to 3:00pm.
7) Festival of Trees at Harborside
Christmas Village is thrilled to present Festival of Trees at Harborside, a fundraiser for Kennedy Krieger Institute. From November 22 through December 23, visitors can stop by the Baltimore Visitor Center to view 13 festively decorated trees and vote for their favorite by making a donation. This new, scenic setting brings the spirit of the season to the Inner Harbor and supports Kennedy Krieger Institute’s commitment to improving the lives of children and families. All proceeds will be donated to support the 30,000+ patients and students who rely on Kennedy Krieger each year. Donations to the Festival of Trees will fuel Kennedy Krieger’s vital work to improve the lives of children and adults with special health challenges through interdisciplinary hospital services and outpatient, community, education and research programs. This year's trees are decorated by local organizations, including Christmas Village in Baltimore, Kennedy Krieger Institute, M8 Beer, German vendor Käthe Wohlfahrt, Maryland Science Center, Maryland Zoo, Miss Shirley's, the Star-spangled Banner Museum, Edgar Allen Poe Museum, Beautiful Baltimore Tours, Watermark Journey, I Love Baltimore and BARCS Animal Shelter.
Upon donating, visitors receive a snowflake token to cast their vote for the fan favorite tree.
8) Glühwein Pyramid
The 30-foot Glühwein Pyramid - one of only three in the U.S. - anchors the market with more than 3,000 lights and a tradition that began in Germany’s Ore Mountains (Erzgebirge) in the 16th century. What started as candlelit church frames evolved into warm-air tiered pyramids, later carved with miners and craftsmen in the 1800s. At the base, visitors can sip authentic German mulled wines from the renowned Nuremberg winery "Gerstacker," including traditional red Glühwein, flavored options like Blueberry and Cherry, and the winter special, German Bratapfel (Baked Apple Pie). Glühwein-lovers can take a bit of the mulled wine magic home as all on-site flavors are now available in bottles. Hot chocolate is offered spiked, kid friendly, or deluxe, including Peppermint Spiked Hot Chocolate in a limited-edition mint boot mug and a rich Baileys Hot Chocolate.
9) Winter Wunder Bar
Christmas Village welcomes back the Winter Wunder Bar, serving alpine-hut vibes and located next to the Carousel. This year's lineup is more elevated than ever with brand-new signature wine glasses for hot and cold drinks - directly imported and custom made from France. Visitors can sip on festive new favorites like a Hot Aperol Spritz, Bailey's Bonfire, the Yuletide Old Fashioned, zero-proof hot chocolate with add-ons and the sparkling Glitter Grinch - tasty, photogenic and perfect for winter warm-ups. Every Wednesday people can look forward to Wunder Wednesday where each drink comes with a sparkling surprise at the Winter Wunder Bar.
10) Ferris Wheel
The beloved 65-foot-tall Expo Wheel is back for the entire season! Its vibrant lights will once again brighten the Inner Harbor, offering a stunning bird’s-eye view of the festive holiday action across the district. After your ride, don’t miss the chance to grab a delicious funnel cake from the nearby stand. And while you're there, be sure to explore the exciting new vendors at our extended location at the Bicentennial Plaza. For safety, children under 54” must be accompanied by a responsible, paying adult. The Ferris Wheel will be open during all market hours, so make sure to take a spin!

Christmas Village is excited to kick off the 2025 holiday season with its Grand Opening Ceremony, featuring a very special guest: the traditional German Christkind! Traveling all the way from Germany, the Christkind will enchant us with her famous prologue, officially launching the festivities. She will make her grand arrival at the Inner Harbor on the vessel Spirit of Baltimore provided by City Cruises, followed by a lively parade along the promenade with the Ravens Brass Band. Joining her will be Thomas Bauer, Christmas Village in Baltimore CEO, Achim Fabig, Minister, Head of Press and Cultural Affairs of the German Embassy, Kireem Swinton interim President and CEO of Visit Baltimore, Shelonda Stokes, President of Downtown Partnership of Baltimore, Pastor Anke Deibler, Pastor at Zion Church of the City of Baltimore, and Roger Manalo, Baltimore Market Director at Chase.
After her prologue inside the heated tent, the Christkind will lead everyone outside to light up the iconic Christmas pyramid and unveil the beloved ‘Baltimore’ sign. This magical moment marks the official start of the holiday season at Christmas Village in Baltimore presented by Chase – be sure to join us and witness the excitement!

Christmas Village partners with Dandelion Flower Stand, a Baltimore/Annapolis mother–daughter studio, for a cozy Christmas Mug Flower Workshop inside the heated tent. Guests design festive bouquets in the boot-shaped mug - a perfect keepsake - using fresh winter greenery, berries, and blooms under Dani’s guidance. Ideal for friends, couples, and families. Every Wednesday (December 3, 10 and 17) from 6:30pm to 8:00pm inside the heated festival tent. Tickets can be purchased on Dandelions Flower Stand website: www dot dandelionsstand dot com/workshops.
15) December 6 and 7 – Family Weekend
Visitors can enjoy two days filled with live performances, photos with Santa inside the Visitor Center, meet and greets with Gingy, rides on the Carousel and views from the Ferris Wheel.
On Saturday, December 7 local vendor Enchanted Cakes and Treats will try to break her Guiness World Record in icing the most cupcakes in one minute at 12pm inside the heated festival tent. In the afternoon, families can enjoy a coloring session on the main stage with local author Naomi Winston at 1pm followed by a bone ornament crafting session with local BARCS Animal shelter. In the evening, visitors can listen to performances by Bella Veronica at 5pm, School of Rock at 6pm and the Handle Choir at 7pm.
On Sunday, December 7, families can enjoy a story time with Urban Reads Bookstore on the main stage followed by musical performances by Steve Hung at 4pm, Hampden Mennonite Choir at 5pm, Jackson Caesar at 6pm and Supreme Chord Choir at 7pm.
16) Saturday, December 6 Letters to Santa Workshop with The Creative Representation Empire
On Saturday, December 6 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, The Creative Representation Empire, founded by Naomi Winston will host a Letters to Santa workshop on the main stage inside the heated festival tent. Creative Representation Empire (TCRE), founded by Naomi Winston, is a Baltimore-based educational resource company that specializes in community curated coloring books.
17) Letters to Santa with exclusive Christmas Village Postcards
Throughout the entire 2025 season, visitors can write or draw their Letters to Santa inside the Baltimore Visitor Center, using limited complimentary Christmas Village postcards designed by The Creative Representation Empire (TCRE). Founder Naomi Winston designed an exclusive Christmas Village postcard and currently has 15 books in their collection with over 1,200 images from around the world. TCRE curates coloring books and stories from communities to educate about culture, making learning more fun. The Visitor Center is open from Wednesdays through Sundays from 10am - 5pm.
18) December 10 - Holiday Flirts, Speed Dating with Maryland Singles Social Club
For one night only, Christmas Village in Baltimore will partner with the Maryland Singles Social Club to transform the Inner Harbor into a romantic winter wonderland. On Wednesday, December 10, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 20 pre-selected singles (ages 28-45) will mingle beneath the twinkling market lights, sharing hot chocolate and holiday cheer.

19) December 13 and 14 - German American Weekend
This festive weekend is dedicated to German culture, dances and traditions.
On Saturday, December 13, the Schuhplattler Dancers of "S.u.G.T.V. Washingtonia" will take the stage from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, showcasing traditional Bavarian dance. Following their performance, the Hungarian dancer from the "Kék Sólyom folk Ensemble" will entertain guests from 3:00pm to 4:00pm. After that various performances follow from Crab State Brass, Steve Hung, Clayton Bryant and Aniyah Walker on stage.
On Sunday, December 14, from 2:00pm to 5:00pm, the German American Weekend will feature a thrilling German Game contest, including popular Oktoberfest-style competitions such as Bierstein lifting ('Bierkrug Stemmen'), a Bratwurst Eating Contest and more. After the games, musician Shawn Hagen will perform on the Alphorn, with a second horn available for visitors to try their hand at playing.
In addition to the festivities, visitors can savor a classic Bratwurst alongside German beers from Hofbräu - a true taste of Germany in the heart of Baltimore.
20) December 19 - Ugly Sweater Day and Contest
Join the first ever Ugly Sweater Day and Contest at Christmas Village where visitors and vendors alike are invited to wear their ugliest holiday sweaters for a day full of fun! The festive contest starts on Friday, December 19, 6:00pm on the main stage inside the heated tent. Participants can sign up the day of at the Info Booth inside the tent till 5:30pm.
21) December 20 - Reindog PAWrade
Christmas Village in Baltimore presented by Chase, in partnership with BARCS, is excited to introduce its first-ever Reindog PAWrade on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 12:00pm. Dogs of all sizes are invited to strut their holiday spirit in creative costumes, from reindeer antlers to festive sweaters. Spectators and participants can enjoy a joyful holiday promenade through Christmas Village, with plenty of photo opportunities and a special appearance by Gingy, the Christmas Village mascot. After the parade, visitors are encouraged to visit the BARCS outreach table to support the shelter, with donors receiving thank-you gifts depending on their contribution level.

The event is based on the traditional Christmas Markets in Germany, including the famous Christkindl Market in Nuremberg. Since its debut in 2013, the market has grown into one of the largest and most celebrated holiday events in the DMV region, attracting visitors from across Maryland, D.C., and beyond. The season will officially kick off with a Preview Weekend on November 22 and 23, 2025, offering visitors an early glimpse of the holiday magic before the market opens for its full run from Thanksgiving through Christmas Eve. The holiday season in Baltimore’s Holiday District begins with the opening of the Inner Harbor Ice Rink by Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore, which will be open from November 7, 2025 through January 19, 2026. Major funding for the Inner Harbor Ice Rink is provided by The Pearlstone Family Fund and The Joseph & Harvey Meyerhoff Family Charitable Funds with additional funding from the Waterfront Partnership’s season sponsors. Charm City’s Holiday District around the Inner Harbor will offer shopping, entertainment, family fun and even photos with Gingy for visitors from Baltimore and D.C. metro regions.
